Wyoming Winters Don’t Stop Us!
You can never trust Wyoming weather. After a week of 50-degree sunny weather, Laramie and Southeast Wyoming got several inches of snow. That makes it our second snowy bridal expo this year! Nevertheless, the UW Conference Center ballroom was still filled with vendors and brides-to-be. Bridal expos are a great place to get information about wedding photography, dresses, and vendors.
The Laramie Sweetheart Bridal Expo, put together each year by Wyoming Weddings, attracts both college-aged couples and professionals, each one unique and at different stages in the wedding-planning process. It is always a joy to speak with couples and offer advice during what can be a stressful process.
LKH Bridal put on a fashion show, featuring the latest trends in bridal fashion. It’s fun to see what trends happen each year. There are a lot of pieces trending this year that have come back from 20+ years ago. There’s something for everyone – I love seeing representation of all body sizes.
The Nation’s Oldest
Ludwig’s is Wyoming’s oldest downtown business, and America’s oldest ongoing photography business. In an age where photographers are giving USB drives with .jpg images, and charging “billable time” to their clients, it is so important for me to speak with couples and show them the significance of real photographs. Files can be corrupted, and .jpgs degrade every time you open them. We’ve seen it time and time again, couples coming to us with USB drives of their whole wedding, and the entire thing is corrupted — their whole wedding lost. Real photographs last a lifetime, and can be accessed any time.
