at the Vee Bar Ranch
Winter is the perfect backdrop for romantic, elegant, and eternally timeless moments. All that is necessary for a winter is each other, the pure snow, something old, something new, and the beauty of mountains. What girl hasn’t dreamed of a sleigh ride during the holidays cuddled up inside hugging the man of her dreams? Often, while heading to Ludwig Photography, my downtown Laramie Studio and gallery, I have been mesmerized by Garfield Street. It’s such a cozy snow flocked haven in the heart of town. And consequently I was late to work. It is a special place where you find yourself yearning for the elegance and timeless simplicity of days past. The perfect place for an epic winter wedding journey to begin.
Snowy and Smitten
It was on such a day that Anna and Chad surrounded by the very magic I speak of, adorned in beautiful vintage clothing began their fairy tale. In fact, you could feel the magic and electricity between them in the fresh air. Laramie is a special place where right in the heart of a vibrant college town and home of the University of Wyoming you can find winter beauty and quiet. While Anna dressed in a new Alfred Angelo design, she anxiously awaited Chad’s arrival . Planning for weeks I knew that my grandmother’s heirloom mink coat was the perfect accent to keep her cozy and warm.
Chad looked incredibly handsome sporting his grandfather’s watch, dressed in a vintage suit complete with top hat. Surprisingly, a local flea market find I had made while searching for the perfect sleigh for them both to embark on a journey to the Snowy Mountain Range and their romantic destination… the historic Vee Bar Ranch. The ranch was the perfect place for our perfect winter wedding.
The Beauty of Wyoming and a Bride
As a fourth generation wedding photographer I am blessed to be by Wyoming’s most talented wedding specialists and boutiques. Without a doubt, the details of this dreamy winter inspiration fell wonderfully into place because of their generosity. The only challenge that drove me to near fanaticism was the pursuit of a perfect horse and sleigh. The amount of support I received from Albany county horse enthusiasts was truly amazing. Extensive thanks go out to you for making Anna and Chad’s fairy tale a reality. I am humbled by your excitement and enthusiasm.
