One of the very best things about having a downtown studio and gallery is having adorable brides drop in filled with excitement ready to plan their engagement photos. I absolutely LOVE engagement sessions. Who isn’t in love with LOVE, right? On a sunny warm day early this fall Ashleigh walked into my gallery on Ivinson Avenue filled with sunshine, a smile on her face, and perfect Wyoming wind tousled hair. After chatting about their wedding this coming Labor Day in Evergreen Colorado we knew that the Snowy Mountain Range in Medicine Bow National Forest was the perfect place for their winter engagement session.
Ashleigh definitely is the complete definition of ADORABLE. We chatted about all things wedding . I instantly loved this girl. Her soft southern drawl won my heart along with the sparkle in her eyes whenever she mentioned Micah her fiancé. Listening to how they met through Micah’s sister was endearing and timeless. And the rest was epic history…
The Perfect Fall and Winter Couple
When Ashleigh and Micah came in to plan their engagement photos it was electric. Sometimes you are blessed to connect with someone on a deeply personal level and that is how it was with Ashleigh, Micah and I. Everything was meant to be. Ashleigh a sweet southern girl from Platte City Missouri was meant to come to Laramie to go to school and meet Micah, who while being born in Wisconsin was as much a western native as me, a fourth generation Wyoming wedding photographer.
Ashleigh and Micah love the mountains and snow. Two of my favorite favorite subjects. I love giving my couples a leather bound book of their photographs to keep always as my gift to them. This winter they can share and relive this engagement session with family and friends in Colorado, Missouri, and Wyoming.
