Small Town Support
Chrissy’s Cinderella bridal session was nothing short of a fairytale. With the beautiful historic Ivinson Mansion as a backdrop, she made for the most magical bride. I’ve known the Jones family for decades. When Chrissy was little, I took her dance portraits. She was such a talented little girl! I also took her oldest sister, Caylee’s senior portraits. I’ve photographed all 4 of the Jones girls throughout their lifetime, so it was of no surprise Chrissy wanted Ludwig’s to photograph her wedding. She’s familiar with our quality and loves that she’s supporting a local business that has photographed her family for years.
Charismatic Couple
Chrissy and David met while both working at the Rib and Chop House in Laramie, Wyoming. David is from Cody but found himself in Laramie to go to the University of Wyoming. He is outgoing, fun-loving and a sweetheart. I’ll never forget, the first time I met David, I asked why the two had chosen a castle in Lindon, Utah for their wedding. He replied, “because it’s dope!” David is always the comic relief in the room, and always has something positive to say. He loves Chrissy with all his heart. Their charisma together is electric, which I was introduced to during our reflection’s session in the spring of 2023. They’re a very photogenic couple, and such a pleasure to be around.
Reflections
I spoil my wedding couples, to say the least. I always offer a complimentary “Reflections” album with all my packages, as a gift to the couple to say “congratulations”. It also is a way for me to get to know the couple, know their dynamic, what colors make their skin tones pop, etc. so I am prepared for their wedding. In some of our higher-end wedding packages, a bridal album is included. It’s a small, leather-bound album with about twenty 5x7in. images of the bride in her gorgeous dress that we take before the wedding, and she picks one to have made into a wall portrait to gift the groom after the ceremony.
Chrissy’s Bridal Session
Chrissy’s bridal session was just a few weeks before her wedding in August. We took her to the gorgeous, historic Ivinson Mansion just a few blocks from the studio, and she stunned us in front of the flower garden and on the balcony of the Victorian building. Chrissy wanted a Cinderella wedding, so she really went all out. She had a long, dazzling train that she could detach from her dress, and a dainty tiara that sparkled atop her brown hair.
The bridal shoot was so much fun and was made extra special by the company of her family. Typically, during a bridal shoot, the mom will come along, or the made of honor. With Chrissy, she had her mom, sister, niece, nephew, and brother-in-law by her side, ready to help in any way possible. Chrissy’s 11-year-old niece carried her train, her brother-in-law helped make sure the dress stayed clean, and checked in on everyone often throughout the session. Chrissy’s sister Caylee planned the entire wedding. Her family wanted to make sure this was the most special wedding for her and David.
