Douglas, Wyoming
Having quality senior portraits was important to Emily. Why is having good senior portraits so important? Graduating from high school is kind of a big deal. It’s the when you take your first real step into the “adult” world. That’s one reason why senior portraits are important. Not only the one graduating, but all their family and friends that want to celebrate this huge step with them.
She called me from Douglas, WY telling me that none of her older siblings had had any good senior portraits taken and that she wanted to be different and have quality portraits. It was so important to her that she drove all the way from Douglas to Laramie just to come to my studio and talk to me about her portraits and what she would like. This was one determined girl.
Capturing Emily’s Personality
When taking portraits of any kind I want to be sure that they can express who they are as a person, which often means that we go to locations where they are most comfortable or that is special to them. For Emily, this was her very own backyard and Ayres Natural Bridge. I drove to Douglas and spent the day with Emily and her dad who joined us on our photo safari.
Throughout the day and even before when Emily came to Laramie, I had the pleasure of getting to know Emily and was to be able to capture her personality through the camera. Freezing in time the one the most important times of her life.
