Summer is a time of rest and relaxation for students attending high school. Not so for Malachi! In July, the weather was scorching hot by Wyoming standards and the air was hazy with smoke from Canadian fires blowing down into the Laramie Valley. This didn’t stop Malachi from practicing for his football team, nor did it stop him from working his part-time job at Frontier Trampoline Park in his downtime before school began.
full steam ahead
Looking sharp
Moving indoors to beat the Summer heat, we shot portraits of Malachi in something a bit dressier. With a nice, open cafeteria and freshly buffed floors, the location was as stunning as he looked dressed in his formal wear. A recipe for success and some clean, stellar senior portraits for him and his mom Amanda.
As far as locations go, South High is an impressive spot, having been completed in 2009. After 15 years, it still holds up as a great place for students not only to study but to participate in athletics, fine arts, and of course, to get their pictures taken.
getting out of town
To cap off a wonderful session with such an adventurous and involved senior as Malachi, we headed to Vedauwoo. Hiking a bit of the ways into Turtle Rock trail, we took some nature shots and ended with dipping our legs in the cool creek. Fun was had by all and even though we almost ran out of gas, our time with Malachi and Amanda went swimmingly and we hope that they cherish their precious memories forever when they receive their book and wall portrait!
